Boiled Black Beans

Ingredients
- 1 cup (200g) black beans
- 3 cups (720ml) water (for soaking)
- 6 cups (1.5l) water (for cooking)
Instructions
- Soak beans in water for 8–12 hours.
- Drain water, rinse beans, place in a large pot with water.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover with lid.
- Cook for 1 hour 30 minutes until soft, stirring occasionally.
- Drain the water.
