Boiled Black Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (200g) black beans
  • 3 cups (720ml) water (for soaking)
  • 6 cups (1.5l) water (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. Soak beans in water for 8–12 hours.
  2. Drain water, rinse beans, place in a large pot with water.
  3. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover with lid.
  4. Cook for 1 hour 30 minutes until soft, stirring occasionally.
  5. Drain the water.
