Boiled Chickpeas

Ingredients
- 1 cup (190g) chickpeas
- 3 cups (720ml) water (for soaking)
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 6 cups (1.5l) water (for cooking)
Instructions
- Soak chickpeas in water with baking soda for 8–12 hours.
- Drain water, rinse chickpeas, place in a big pot with water.
- Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover with a lid.
- Cook for 1 hour 30 minutes until soft.
- Drain the water.
